Here is a heartwarming story that shows exactly why sometimes animals have more humanity than people. They can express more concern than their human counterparts. This tale happened in Siberia.
Blanket of fur
Residents of a small village on the skirts of Siberia were shocked one day to see a dog almost completely buried under the snow. His and the top of his body was the only thing showing.
For several days, tons of snow has dropped non-stop over the village. It was white everywhere you see and rooftops were burdened by the heavyweight. Walking anywhere took tremendous effort and people would rather stay inside in the warmth of their homes.
On the day that they saw the dog, the temperature was around negative four degrees Fahrenheit. They were wondering why the dog would be out in the middle of the yard rather than go somewhere where he could at least find some shelter. The dog was staying still and they feared that he may have frozen solid. When they got close to the dog to help him out, they got the biggest shock of their lives.
When they lifted the dog up, they found a little boy underneath him. He was around two to three years old. Thankfully, he was still breathing. Despite the blanket of fur provided by the kind dog, the little toddler still suffered from hypothermia, so they had to rush him to a doctor.
The little boy’s condition was stabilized, but he still needed to be brought to a hospital. The little village did not have the facilities to give the treatments needed. So they took him to the nearest city where he spent some time recuperating.
Cast out
Everyone in the village was curious as to what happened to the boy. They reported the incident to the authorities and an investigation was started.
As it turned out, the boy’s mother was an alcoholic. The night before they found him, his mom got mad at him and threw him out of the house. The dog apparently found the boy wandering outside and covered him to give him warmth.
A case has been filed against the mother, and if found guilty, she will spend years in jail.
