Mia was incredibly sick when a Good Samaritan found her wandering in the streets of Akron, Ohio. The concerned citizen brought her to the vet, where she received immediate medical help. A shelter took Mia in and helped her get adopted in January 2020. Since then, life has been nothing but good to Mia.
Mia’s favorite activity is hanging out with her family. However, whenever she has the energy, she also enjoys running around. Overall, Mia is a playful and silly dog.
Taylor Clapp, Mia’s owner, described the pup as affectionate, goofy, and most of the time, pretty lazy. However, once or twice a day when she wants to play, Mia gets a short zoomie. Her favorite game is tug-of-war.
Mia is also fond of playing outside. However, the yard was not yet fenced when she became part of Taylor’s family. So, Mia had to go to the neighbor’s fenced-in yard to play with their dog. If she wanted to run in the backyard, she had to wear a long leash too.
Because Mia’s family had no idea about her past, they did not know if she ever experienced running free before. They decided to give her one. Immediately, they started building their yard’s fence, and Mia watched them work on it for two months. When they finally finished, they could not wait to show it to the pup.

As soon as Mia’s family opened the door, she quickly realized that she can already run free without the need to wear a leash. Mia lost her mind the moment she got into the yard. Taylor knew that her dog would freak out and get a lot of zoomies when she sees that she can run in the backyard on her own. So, she made sure to get it on video.
For over an hour, Mia ran around and played in her very own backyard. She also enjoyed it throughout the summer. According to Taylor, Mia likes the snow, but she does not like the cold that much. She would only do a lap around the yard before coming right back in.
Mia loves lazing around. However, now that she has her own fenced-in yard, she enjoys her zoomie bursts outside too. Although it does not seem like a big deal, it means so much for Mia.
