Alexander Skyy lost his Chihuahua Milo a couple of months back. He was heartbroken, devastated, and he cried a lot. The pup left a hole in his heart and he said he won’t be ready to take in another dog anytime soon.
Others may not understand but any dog lover would know how Alexander felt when he lost his cherished furry family member. He mourned for quite a while. He thought he won’t be able to take in any other pet, but then, he saw Onyx and Branco’s photo on social media.
Onyx and Branco were both rescued from a breeding farm. They were the runts of their litter. They were incredibly small, covered with fleas, and very lethargic.
When Alexander saw the puppies, he instantly fell in love with them. He decided right at that moment to bring them home. He needed to get them, he told himself.
Onyx and Branco were so terrified at first. They didn’t want to step out of the bedroom and just slept all day long. They were so weak so their new dad brought them to the vet.
Branco tested positive for canine Parvovirus so he had to be in quarantine. Alexander and his partner stayed up all night to make sure the little pup got his medicines on time. And after about two weeks, the puppy beat Parvo and survived.
Eventually, the brothers started to come out of their shells. Their unique personalities made their dad fall in love with them more as the days passed. They bring trouble at times, but they give him so much joy, too, and that’s more than enough.
Alexander never thought he’d be happy again. He knew it was Onyx and Branco who saved him from a really dark place. He loved them from the very start and it will stay that way forever.
