Leticia Gonzalez, her twins Luna and Gianella, and the rest of her family went to Mexico last Christmas to help less fortunate children. This experience taught Luna and Gianella the importance of kindness.
After fulfilling some of the wishes of other kids, Luna and Gianella wanted to write a wishlist of their own.
Leticia let her 4-year old twins write down a modest wishlist on a balloon. The twins asked for a Frozen doll, a Spider-Man ball, a My Little Pony, candy, and a puppy. They then released the balloon and hoped that it would reach Santa Claus.
A good samaritan finds the balloon
Although the balloon didn’t reach the North Pole, it still traveled an incredible 650 miles to Lousiana. A man named Alvin Bamburg found the balloon stuck to a tree. He read the list and then decided that he wanted to help out. Alvin posted a picture of the balloon on Facebook to get more information about it.
Alvin eventually got in contact with Leticia and her family. He asked her permission to fulfill Luna and Gianella’s wishes. The other items on the list were simple enough, but he needed to ask if the Gonzalez family was ready for a new puppy.
As it turns out, the family recently lost their old family dog. They wanted a new dog to join their family.
The twins meet their new puppy
Alvin and a couple of kind strangers gathered the gifts for Luna and Gianella and then shipped the gifts to the twins. Luna and Gianella loved their candy and new toys. Alvin found a puppy named Max. Of course, Alvin couldn’t ship Max, so he decided to drive 650 miles to the Gonzalez family instead.
The twins were ecstatic to meet their new puppy. Max seemed very happy as well and he seemed very excited to meet his new family. Alvin’s kind heart made the dreams of two adorable little girls come true.
