Most dogs love human food such as people’s favorite treat during the summer, ice cream. However, many of them can’t have it because they are lactose intolerant.
Just like Rocky’s lovely pooch, Zoey does not really enjoy ice cream made for dogs. The small dog usually likes eating the ones made for humans. And that means it could be bad for her.
Good thing, the famous ice cream manufacturer, Ben and Jerry’s, has finally made an ice flavor just for their consumers’ beloved dogs.
Rocky has tried most if not all of the brands. However, Zoey just loves the ice cream made for people, not for her kind.
So when the ice cream company has decided to release two new flavors that are only for dogs, He was happy.
He immediately bought the new ice cream flavors – Pontch’s Mix and Rosies’ Batch. The former is made of peanut butter and pretzel swirl, while the latter is made of pumpkin and mini cookies flavor.
Both flavors have a sunflower butter base and are completely safe for dogs. They will be available in single-serving and four-count packs at supermarkets and pet supplies stores later this month.
Zoey tried the peanut butter-flavored one since he loves them. But what shocked Rocky was that Zoey cannot stop eating the Pumpkin-flavored one. She just kept licking them from the spoon.
Zoey is usually a picky eater and would stop eating anything after some bites, but not this ice cream. Rocky was very happy about it because they can now have ice cream nights together without feeling bad that he might upset her stomach with human ice cream.
On the other hand, Ben and Jerry’s was inspired to make the products because of the dogs in their company. There are two dogs that work in their headquarters and they want these dogs to enjoy the ice the company makes.
