It is a daily struggle for dog owners when their dogs go missing. This was what happened to Dianne Ramsey, an elderly from New Orleans, when her dog, Sasha, got stolen from her porch. However, Dianne’s initial suspicion that Sasha got stolen was disproved.
It all began with a misunderstanding. According to Dianne, her daughter, Letreion, allowed Sasha to go outside their porch to use the bathroom. This has become a daily ritual between Sasha and Letreion. In the past instances, the dog would stay in the yard after doing her business.
The dog would then scratch the door as a signal that she is done and wants to go back inside. But after a few moments, Letreion did not hear any scratch from the dog, so she got worried. When she went outside, Sasha is no longer there. This was the time that she began to panic because the dog is already old and might have been hit by a car.
Letreion immediately checked the CCTV footage to confirm what happened to the dog. It was this time that she saw a woman approached the dog and lured her with food. The woman then carried the dog and rang the doorbell, but no one answered.
After realizing no one was answering, the woman carried the dog to her car and drove away. But it turned out that the woman did not steal Sasha. In an interview, the woman explained her side, saying she thought the dog was a stray.
With this thinking, she brought Sasha to the local animal shelter so she could be handled well. After learning this, Dianne and Letreion immediately contacted the animal shelter and asked about Sasha. The dog was there, and she seemed fine. The mother and daughter likewise were no longer upset after learning the side of the woman.
