Who would have thought that invading a soccer game would get a dog a forever home? Well, that’s exactly what happened to this dog who went viral for interrupting a soccer match on Christmas Eve. His video will definitely make you laugh at his cuteness.
A match between The Strongest and Nacional Potosi at the Hernando Siles stadium field in Potosi, Bolivia became the talk of the town when a dirty white dog decided to steal the show for three minutes. With a stolen cleat in his mouth, he joyfully ran around the field. The players found the dog entertaining, so they stopped to give him some belly rubs. The dog just loved the attention, and he would have wanted to stay there for a long time.
But, the match should go on. One of the Strongest players, Raúl Castro, carried the dog off the field. The furball’s hilarious act sure grabbed the attention of the audience, and he piqued Castro’s interest the most.
The adorable pooch didn’t only receive attention and won the hearts of the fans, but he also became Castro’s lucky charm. That is because the Strongest won the Christmas Eve match 3-0. It was definitely a win-win for Castro who escorted him lovingly out of the field.
The dog was then brought to a local shelter and soon, Pagina Siete reported that Castro was planning to adopt him. He was then later named by the Strongest fans themselves as “Cachito.” Castro was more than happy to keep the name and welcome Cachito to his new home.
Thanks to Castro, Cachito’s life changed from being homeless to having an owner and a forever home. Well, he sure deserved it after bringing good luck to The Strongest team and providing unexpected entertainment for the player, the audience, and those who have seen the video of the match.
