Love-Smitten Dog Always Returns To The Corner Where He Met His First Love

Love-Smitten Dog Always Returns To The Corner Where He Met His First Love

Dohou May 27, 2021

The Script is an award-winning rock band  that has a famous song entitled “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.” This song is famous worldwide and it features a man who wants to see the love of his life so badly but has no way of getting in touch with her. So he returns to the place where they first met, and he waits – hoping that one day, she would seek him out and go back to that place.

Amazingly, a dog from Korea embodied this song.

This is the love story of Ddangchil

Puppy love

The tale of this forlorn dog started when he was sitting on the corner of a street in front of a grocery store. It was near the place where his owner worked. He loved to roam around and watch the people go by in this small rural Korean neighborhood. And on that particular day, the mixed-breed dog happened to meet a charming Shih Tzu.

Boldy, Ddangchil-ee went up to her and introduced himself. The two happy pups got along very well and played for a bit. But sadly, the Shih Tzu’s owner had to go and she took the dog along with her. Although they only had a very short interaction, Ddangchil-ee was smitten.

The dog was in his puberty stage and this was his first love. He had to see her again. But where could he find her?

I’m not moving

The only way they could ever see each other again is if he waits in the place where they first met. Ddangchil returned to the area day after day, hoping that the Shih Tzu would pass again. The lovesick dog would even go up to the small dogs passing by. He would sniff them and try to find that familiar smell.

Some of the people got bothered because the dog was persistent and would jump on them. Ddangchil’s owner got worried because someone might complain. He tied the dog at home and he got heartbroken. He refused to eat anything.

And when he got the chance, he would escape and go back to his corner. Even when a leash was placed on his collar, he would refuse to budge from his spot.

He was in love and on a mission.

Moving on

Then one day, the shop owners in the neighborhood noticed that the dog stopped going to his corner. He would pass by, but he won’t stop anymore. Did he finally find the girl of her dreams?

As it turned out, he met another dog who lived very nearby. He now spent his time in her yard where they would play for hours. The two seemed very happy with each other.

Ddangchil has finally moved from his corner.
