Rescued Doberman Returned Several Times Finds Forever Home And Saves Toddler’s Life

Rescued Doberman Returned Several Times Finds Forever Home And Saves Toddler’s Life

Katherine and Ryan seemed to have it all. They have a great house, good jobs, and a lovely daughter. They frequently go on vacations and have tons of friends. There was just one thing missing – a dog.

Khan

The family has always wanted to have one and after talking it over they decided to go to a shelter and adopt one. The parents and their daughter went to the kennels one by one. Dogs were barking as they passed and they loved each and every one of them. But one dog caught their eye. A Doberman named Khan.

They played with him and saw that the dog had a good connection with their daughter Charlotte. But strangely, the shelter staff tried to dissuade them from choosing Khan. He seemed like a very gentle and kind dog so they couldn’t see any problems. As it turned out, the charming pup was adopted several times already and for one reason or another, they kept returning him back.

This made the couple wonder. But eventually, they decided to take a chance and adopt him.

And their gamble paid off. For the next several weeks, Kahn proved to be a very patient and loving friend to Charlotte. They were inseparable. The big dog was very gentle around the little toddler and the couple was confident that he would never hurt their baby.

Sacrifice

One day, while they were out in their backyard, Charlotte called out to Kahn. The dog, loyal and obedient, ran towards the girl. But what happened next shocked everyone.

When Kahn got close to the little girl, he suddenly reared then pushed her to the ground. He then tried to nudge her away. Katherine and Ryan were mortified. They quickly ran to their daughter to help her.

Ryan arrived first but then made an abrupt stop. He took their crying daughter and handed her to his wife. He then told them to go inside the house quickly.

By that time Kahn was lying in the yard. As it turned out, a venomous snake got close to Charlotte and when it was about to attack, the brave dog pushed her away and sacrificed his own body. The venom was now creeping in his body and he was obviously suffering.

Ryan then scooped up the dying dog and rushed him to a vet. He was given an antidote to battle the venom. Thankfully, the dog’s strong body survived.

Kahn loved his little sister so much, that he was willing to give up his own life.
